Queerly Yours & All Out Collective invite you to a community junk-journalling event held at the Art Gallery of Hamilton!
You are invited and encouraged to bring some type of art-making material (we use this term loosely) to contribute to the collective art-making material pile. Examples include, but are not limited to: envelopes and stamps, stickers, scrap paper, old study notes, board game cards, beads and bedazzle jewels, pressed flowers.
Please do NOT contribute: biohazard materials, sharps, food or drink-like substances, materials that could be seen as dangerous or harmful, materials with oppressive images / language. Please try to keep content on materials “safe for work”, as this is an all ages event and there may be children attending.
You are still welcome to join in the fun if you are unable to bring material to contribute to the pile. Art-making is also optional (an invitation), so if you would like to attend the event to support True Colours Club or to hangout with friends, you are more than welcome to do so without experiencing pressure to make art while you are here.
Children are welcome at this event, however, they must be accompanied and supervised by their guardian to attend (ie. please do not leave your children unattended with us at this event, as we unfortunately do not have the resources for child-minding at this time).
** The Art Gallery of Hamilton’s space / accessibility options include: elevator options, gender-neutral bathroom options, access to sensory tools, larger space, quiet space. More info here: www.artgalleryofhamilton.com/plan-your-visit/accessibility/
